Simple
One tap and you're done.
Would you go back or not? For most places, that's the only question that matters.
A field journal for places
The café you still think about, the hotel you'd book again, the museum you'd skip next time. Your own rating, notes, photos and the weather that day, kept in a journal only you can read.

Everything a good notebook holds
Search Apple Maps or let Placemoir suggest where you're standing. The address and category fill themselves in.
Each entry remembers what the sky was doing when you were there, even if you write it up a week later.
Add photos, record what the waiter recommended, or keep the receipt and the booking confirmation with the visit.
Every place you've logged, pinned on one map: green for the places you'd go back to, plum for the ones you wouldn't, and gold for your Want to go list.
Find a place by its name, the neighborhood, or a word from your notes. “That ramen spot in Lisbon” is a search away.
Go back to a place and Placemoir adds a second visit, so you can see how it changed: “too busy, come early.”
A quiet nudge from a year ago: the fado bar in Lisbon and the note you left yourself about where to stand.
Save the places friends recommend and the ones you walk past, then turn them into entries once you've been.
Export your whole journal, every photo, memo and file included, whenever you like.

Private by design
There's no profile, no feed and nobody to perform for. Your journal is written for one reader, and it stays that way.
Questions
Not in the usual sense. Your ratings and notes are for you alone. Nothing you write is published, and there's no way for other people to see your journal. Think of it as a notebook, not a review site.
Anywhere you'd want to remember: restaurants, cafés and bars, hotels and other stays, parks, museums, attractions, shops, or a bench with a good view. Each entry holds the place, the date and time, the weather, your rating and notes, and any photos, voice memos or files you add.
